What others may consider macabre, artist Kate Barger is inspired and she wants to tell a story.  Kate is known for her fine art beaded animal skulls.  Using tiny beads and other embellishment such as gemstone nuggets and leather, she painstakingly dresses these animal skulls.  She looks for unusual horns and unique features in the skulls she selects to decorate.

Here we see her latest work that is still un-named.  This steer skull has extraordinary down-turned horns.  It features thousands of size 11 glass beads and turquoise nuggets.
